After talking with Suntzu at the last event I may go the same route as him for his next gun. In the next few weeks I will be buying a JG Bar 10. Once I put a tight bore barrel on it I hope to get further range then my TM M733 which was needed in that pain in the ass hill assult at section 8 noob day. Now here is the question. Besides a tight bore barrel what are the best upgrades to get? I want this thing right at the FPS limit. Lets hear the idea's.

Prepare to drop like $900 in it  I have a BAR 10 with a zero trigger w/piston, teflon cylinder, laylax cylinder head, laylax metal spring guide, 6.03 TB (I'm looking to get the EdGi 6.01), Longer outer barrel don't remember what it is off the top of my head, 170 Spring, firefly hop up bucking and new bolt handle... Its pretty wicked, but it still needs a lot of work. BTW you could save a lot more $ than I did check out edgicustom.blogspot.com/ you can buy the whole package system from him and I've heard they are great upgrades... Or you could always PM elmoreas on IAA he has a BAR 10 in stock and can tip you off on some great upgrades for it. Hope this helps dude ;D |

Great Lakes Airsoft in Kalamazoo said they can get a super dialed in Bar 10 set up for like $400(he does all the upgrades himself and gets good deals on prices). Might be worth talking to him. Havn't worked with them yet but the guy there(Caleb) has been very helpful on the phone. I tracked down a new AUG in Kzoo and will have him do the mods for me when I get it(hopefully in the next week) so I'll let you know how the service is. I think Funkenst13n's list of upgrades is pretty typical of guys that have gone the bar 10 route. I'd love to see that one in action btw! You can just do a google search for"bar 10 upgrade" and check different boards for tons of ideas. Always do the research first, it pays off bigtime.

I plan on going to the 2 day event at BC I think in July... anyways I'll bring it then and let you check it out. I should be completely done with it by then.
