So, as many of you know, when we first started the Ruff Ryders we wanted to create a team based on an IDF impression. However, we've learned that ordering authentic IDF gear is our only hope for this impression since no US olive drab uniform comes anywhere close to being acceptable in the woods.
So, as we've discussed in the past, the IAA is crawling with teams that have Russian uniform schemes. To combat this some of the other teams have started to organize a NATO-based movement. This would basically mean US Woodland uniforms, PASGT helmets, olive drab or woodland gear, and as many M16s as we can get our grubby little hands on.
So, I know we've discussed it but we've never really reached a full consensus as far as I know... Should we switch our team to focus on the NATO uniform scheme? Woodland is the cheapest and most readily available gear so it would obviously have benefits.

I would like to second that motion.
In order to complete the IDF look it takes a lot of overseas shipping and digging to find authentic IDF gear but for an U.S. impression it's much much easier since it's all surplus and readily available and most of the times cheap. I think it's time we started moving in the direction of a milsim based team. The IAA is scrambling to find milsim orented teams with complete loadouts.
I have yet to find a team or group that has a complete U.S loadout or looks organized as one so this would be a great start.*plus I already have some of this stuff. ;D
We should discuss further on what look we would like. I like the 93's-2004 look. It allows the chest ring to be incorporated.

Just let me know if this is for sure. It will take time to switch over to woodland. I have alot of expensive things comming up like baby and house. I will slowly make the switch so just let me know.

Also, I know many of us hate to wear helmets, but the replica PASGTs are almost a necessity... I just need to find one that'll fit my massive melon and I'm in business.
I've done a lot of research and it definitely seems that the helmet is a must.

I am one of those who hate helmets. Might I suggest a military ball cap? I am really up in the air about helmets as you know.... lol

I might have to hit up Dutch on the IAA boards and find out what his say is. Also, Jinx, what web-gear do you have? I have a blackhawk H-Harness that I think would work for our purposes.. I think.

That is the H-harness I have. My only advice: buy the pistol belt AND a belt pad. Plus the shoulder straps come pretty stiff, so put it through the laundry once to soften it up.
