I've thought about a current Army loadout before and even purchased the IBA vest and uniform but stopped due to me wanting to complete an woodland loadout. ACU does have some application but I'll never wear it in a woodland enviorment. I could use it at the blast camp games or maybe winter games but thats about it.

The only enviorment I've seen ACU work well is during the fall and winter or whenever in an Urban Enviorment. There's too much gray and blue in the ACU uniform making it stick out in a lush green/brown woodland enviorment.
Woodland is the primary enviorment we engage in and being concealed and out of sight only helps your odds in defeating the opposition. Having a camo that I can spot you yards away doesn't give you a suprise effect.
In an MOUT enviromet the ACU works great belnding in with buildings and dark shadows. I do believe the ACU was created in mind of using it only overseas since it does semi decent in a desert urban enviorment. It seems like the military brass wanted to cut funds and came up with a shitty color scheme. They should've taken what the Marines had made and gone with a digital 3 color woodland like what the Jordainians wear.

Digital patterns also camouflage you to infrared and night vision, thus you have to wear a patch on 'yer helmet so you dont get bombed by friendly IR/NV equipped aircraft. I think that they also rushed just to get the ACU uniform cut because of name tapes, optional pads, pocket locations and the domination of molle. MultiCam was also considered for a long time to replace woodland/desert then digital patterns swept the military world by storm. Personally if any, I would either go marpat or cadpat. I am all about function, so us woodland FTW! P.S. - our Indiana woodland is damn near Vietnam colors when you're in the thick, and almost as humid

i agree with the marpat being the better, thanks for the info though! Ive had the acu and Im waiting on the rest of my woodland to come in the mail. Im sure Ill use the acu untill the brush fills in and Ill more than likely pay for it in welts (LOL) but thats what Im here for.... Poser out...
