Not at events, the only time it is required is when your are transporting your guns. Yes, even if they are in the trunk, in a box/bag. I leave my stock flash hider orange and use electrical tape at events (that way I can quickly reveal the orange after the events), buy a barrel extension (mock suppressor), or buy another flash hider.
