Me too. Although, I went out today with my new gun just to get a feel for it in some woods near home and it wasn't all that great tromping through the 2-3 feet of snow. However, if I were to weigh the options of snow vs skirmish...I'd be skirmishing with you guys in a heart beat.

Yep Blast Camp has the first one of the year and I should be attending, got more bb's in yesterday. I have an ichy finger that needs attending.
Also please register with the IAA as we follow their rules and is a larger forum to learn from and follow what events are coming up.
Plus getting known in the community is good too.
I'm also ready for a [rr] skirmish too.

Hey,
The paper in the gun I got from Airsoftgi.com says 420 fps. Is there any way to get it below 400fps before this Sunday's skirmish at Blast Camp? Can I get a smaller spring at a local hardware store or something? Could I just use .25 BBs to lower it?

Jinx,
Any chance you have an extra mini battery you could bring to the event on Sunday? I got a hold of someone there who as a quick charger who can charge my battery if it runs out, but it takes an hour to charge. If not do you know where I could find one very last minute before Sunday? I'd even be willing to purchase a used one if need be.

If it's 420 I would suggest to fire the gun in full auto and let the gun sit till sunday. The spring will stay compressed in the gun and thus causing the tension to decrease. I'm not sure how long it should stay compressed to lower the FPS (usually 4-5 days) but maybe it might work to lower it to 405-410. It's going to be cold so the chrono's won't be working well. Even then if its too high you can roll with one of mine which will pass.

I was down there. Really bad start. It was too cold in the morning and no one's guns were working properly. Half way through the first skirmish those who just dealt with their sucking guns were wondering where everyone was...they all went inside. Total of about 25 people there. At least 15 went in during the first game before the rest realized what was up. By about 11:00 it started to warm up. Everyone gave their batteries a little warm up and recharge and we were able to handle the rest of the day.
There was a lot of snow, at least a foot everywhere, so not much ducking for cover without getting cold and wet.
No leaves or shrubbery growing yet so it was pretty easy to see everyone when they were out of range.
It was my first time out and I would rate it only about a 5/10. I'm hoping that in spring it will be better.

I woke up that morning and realized my boots and pants had been in our cars trunk since November. Went for the boots and they were literealy frozen and mudcaked so I spent the day cleaning them and warmed them up. Their still wet so a couple more days and they should be back to normal.
That morning was a bit cold for my gun's taste. I could have run around with the shotgun but I'm not paying $30 to run around and not use all my stuff.
Hopefully it's 30-40's in Feb. that's fine with me. Spring time is awsome especially when the foiliage starts to grow.

Toastie, keep in mind that this is the off season, 5/10 is pretty good. We should try and pick a game at Blast Camp for [rr] to attend in force. That way we can bring teh rapez to all opposing forces. lol
