Well with tax season coming up and some money I have saved away I should have well over $1000 to spend but I can't decide wether to buy a AR15 or splurge on Airsoft. I've recently pre-ordered the WE gas blowback rifle from Evike after following it's release in Nov. and decided I wanted more realism. Mags cost $38-40 compared to WA's $89 mags so a good chunk of that savings would go towards mags. I could also use some authentic gear(military) for airsoft to get the full effect which body armour and kevlar are expensive especially the newer stuff. I just don't know what I should do. I would love to own an AR especially now but it's two things I love doing.

Given current events (democrats control), I would get the real steel. They may be banned soon, ammo has skyrocketed. Plus, there is no real substitute for real steel no matter how grand the replica. When I get my AEG where I want it and my US woodland load set, I want to do a more modern, yet practical loadout (still US).

Well, in my mind the only point of a real gun is to shoot the small circle which is inside a bunch of bigger circles (aka target practice), unless of course you shoot a moose, but who needs a $1000 semi automatic gun to shoot a moose? Doesn't it get kind of boring...and expensive? I guess there's 'more power' involved, which seems to be a major drawing point, but I would go with Airsoft. Maybe some grenandes and grenade launcher stuff...just dominate the field you're playing on.

Real steel. Psyus is 100% correct, bans of all types (or taxes on guns) will be flowing down the pipeline very, very soon.
Cash in on that 2nd amendment while you can.

I'm cashing in on both. My tax refund should supply the AR I want and the savings should cover the new outfit I'm gearing up.
