Ello im TheSkunk. i live in Fort Wayne your group is the closest to me. I was a avid paintballing but it cost to much to play so now my tipman collects dust. i been interested in airsofts for some time but only buy the cheep crap from walmart. most of it breaks but i ask for it spending 20 bucks on the guns lol. i want to get a good weapon mostly a MP40 and a decent sniper rifle. Interested in coming up on during a skirmish play just to watch and see whats what and meet some people. FWPD trained on the use of a firearm and tactics threw there volunteer police section. I currently go to school for criminal justice so my time is limited but on breaks i would like to visit. but other than that i just popped in to say hi and introduce myself. im looking at about 140$ for my MP40 should only take me alittle while to get it and buy the weapon.

Before you go and buy that MP40, check out airsoftgi.com. Airsoft is not a cheap hobby, I am just trying to save you some time.

i know its not cheep but i have played with friend here. i have gone to the site they dont carry what i want. but its still a hell of alot cheaper than paintaballing. I love the style of the MP40 and a friend has one and it fired smooth. its sturdy as well not many long parts to break off either. what do you suggest im a WW2 buff that is why i chose the MP40 most of all.

i will try and make it up there i love all the snow out side. i have my heart set on two preticular weapons to get. the MP40 and save up for a while and get my hands on a good M249 Saw. I guess i could really save up and pick up a MG43. but who knows. just let me know the times and dates you guys do the skirmish and i will try and make it. My girlfriend said she might be intrasted in playing as well but she wants to watch a few matches before she gets into it. she has seen vids of matches and told me it looks fun. and ya'all need more females in the group lol.

I will always recommend a M16 variant, but if you are really into WWII, there is always the Tokyo Mauri M1A1 Thompson. It is by far the best WWII AEG on the market.

i do like the way the Tokyo Mauri MI Grand looks and sounds. the mag ejection system with the familiar ping sound. Tokyo Mauri makes good guns but rather costly. Worth the price. But way out of my price range im just a simple bouncer. maybe later i will pick one up. But the 140$ price for the MP40 is with shipping and a spare mag for it as well. the gun is around 98$ i found for the cheapest i found for it.

but i do have one question. i have done my studies on guns in my price range and personal preferences and i choose the MP40 as my main weapon till i get a SAW. is it just because those of you who responded dont like the AGM brand or the MP40 in general and all guns other than the TM guns to be crap. or is because you dont want a guy on the squad with a cheep gun or a MP40 fan on the squad. is there a modern theme with the group or what. as is im getting the MP40 and a replica German uniform. if that goes against the groups uniform im sorry mine runs about 90$ total yours runs 300$. im sorry if its out of place and if you dont want me for your squad i understand. and i will take my leave. So far sandman and stash are the only two who gave me a good welcome to the forum. i hate to think you guys are weaponist lol

First, I do not currently own a Tokyo Mauri, I have had two TM brand guns in the past and they are the standard in airsoft. There is currently no team load out requirement, there are no MP40 haters, I don't know why new people are so stuck on things. If you take a second to sit and really think about it, what gun would be the best? I have two M4's, now if I am in the heat of battle and I run out of ammo I can just holler at; JiNX, Stash, or Cheez for an extra mag. They all have M16 variants, therefore they all have M16 mags. Hell, even an M249 SAW can take M16 mags. What I am trying to say is, if you can, wait for the 'right' gun for you. If you truly want to be an active member of an airsoft team, I would wait and get a SAW. Second, U.S. Woodland is not expensive at all. For under $100 you can get a full load; top, bottom, boonie, load bearing vest, pistol belt, and maybe boots and eye pro. Most of the members here are sort of inactive during the winter months. Don't be upset that they are not responding to your posts, this is the season for getting back to the real world we neglect so much during the prime airsoft seasons. Oh, and welcome to the boards.

I wouldn't say we're not fans of people with MP40's or German loadouts. Many people run with guns of all sorts during skirmishes. I myself have never seen in person or handle the AGM MP40 so for quality or skirmish ability I can't say. In the 3 years I've been attending large op's or local skirmishs I've seen 2 people use an TM M1A1 tompson.
The use of WWII weapons on the field is pretty rare due to not many options to choose from. Marushin makes gas WWII guns like the M1 Garand or M1/2 carbine which probally perform better but are way more expensive to buy and care for. Other than that other guns will cost even more or you end up with the Clone compaines for the rest like AGM.
If you want to run with an MP40 then that is what you run with. No one is saying that having an $120 gun is going to suck balls and your going to look like a dork, you run with what you want to run with. Take into factor of if this certain part breaks where can I get an replacement ex. what if I trip and snap something that makes the rifle ineffective (pretty common with plastic guns, it just happens) What replacement parts are available. Take into factor that there are no WWII games that I've seen allthough some talk has stated interest in making one but that requires people to buy those expensive guns and authentic gear to go with the setting. We're not going to bust you for coming to a skirmish wearing a WWII german impression, you can come dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt for all we care. You'll just be an easy target for me in that white t-shirt ;D
I would suggest to go with your WWII loadout and also complete a modern loadout also to go with the larger games or to switch it up. A modern loadout is very cheap also, a woodland top/bottom can be bought for less than $30-40. After that you just need some good boots and what ever else you need for your impression.
Our team had originally opted for an IDF impression but after scouring the internet for equipment and the limited funds some of our teamates are on it was very hard and very expensive since most of the stuff comes from Isreal. We did have talks about going with an U.S. loadout (late 80-90's) but that was when the season started to die down. Having a team to practice and look uniform does help with the whole impression.
As for the SAW, hold off until you attend one of our games and you can hold and run with mine and see if your still interested in one. Their totally different than the regular rifles in cost and skirmishability.
Thanks and hope to see you on the field.
