i currently run 8.4v 1800 my gun is RATED to run up to 8.4v 4200 if i get a 9.6v can my gun handle it? what are the adv. disadv.? i know 9.6v will be higher ROF, should i get stiffer spring? (i have 120 now) how about fps and accuracy? will they change? i think i will be ok if i step up to 9.6v, just want some second opinions. all input is appreciated. ;D oh, and i am also considering making my own batts. anyone had exp. with this?

Yes all guns can take a 9.6 V and the only thing that will happen is your ROF and the ability to pull the spring much easier. The Mah rating determines how long that battery will last so anything over 2200 is pretty good.
FPS and accuracy depend on your setup and internals, mostly barrel and hopup.
Making your own batteries, Get some good experience in soldering and get as much info as you can before you start.

I have soldering exp. I also know a little about elec. motors and currents. I was also going to get whole new hop up and inner barrel eventually, longer with suppressor. The reason i was asking about batteries was because i want to drop $50+ in the right place. ;D thanks for the input

cheapbatterypacks.com
$30 will get you a 9.6 3300 mah battery $45 will get you a 8.4 4000mah battery
Just choose you voltage and how you want your packs created.
You take a mini so yours would have to be mini NiCad batteries
