Spring?

I currently only have spring airguns and rifles. And was wondering if anyone uses them in skirmishes.Since im new to playing on teams or doing anything thats actually organized other than with friends.I really don't know what poeple use or really whats good.

I used to play backyard a lot and springs were ok. But they just dont cut it when you upgrade to teams.
