So, to be fair I figured I'd post a thread clarifying our position on underage players. Basically we're pretty fair guys. If you're underage and you want to run with us we will almost always allow it. If you are a good player and you're not a total tool we won't discriminate based on age. Thus far we have run with a handful of under-eighteens and all of them have been very, very cool people. With our recruiting rules you basically have to run with us twice to be considered for membership. If you're a good player and we like you enough we'll put you on our squad regardless of your age. However, I just wanted to clarify a few things for everyone.
The IAA has recently had a number of high-profile incidents which have made many of the ranking IAA members somewhat discriminatory against underage players. The truth is that a few bad apples (or, in this case, a dozen or so) really can damage the reputation of the entire category of players. That being said I would highly suspect that many future IAA events will be limited to 18+ attendance. If this happens please don't be offended if the team goes to the event and you're not able to attend. Don't be offended that the IAA as a whole may "look down on you" as an underage player. All you can do is come out to games and show everyone that you aren't a douche. Actions speak louder than words. The same guys that swear that they'll never allow underage players also allow exclusively underage teams (like Tristar) to attend their events. Why? they've proven themselves valuable members of the airsoft community. Running with the Ruff Ryders will get you a certain amount of "street cred" with the IAA so just be cool and you'll soon find yourself getting into many more games.
